We have an Alp problem.

He was close to 60 TS% in his second and third seasons. That was promising. He was only 21 years old. Then he dropped back down to the 55 vicinity the next two seasons. That's almost like Benjamin Button kind of curious case.

 

This coaching wanted him to be stretch 5 instead of what he's actually at. Now he's not good at anything. I remember in the off-seasons how the rockets were training him to be that.

 

Almost like his coach forced him to play on the perimeter and lose the confidence and familiarity with getting the ball in the post.

 

Far from it. It was the rockets staff not the legend.

This feels more mental than anything, like he's trying too hard to justify being the franchise player.

 

This all started when he stopped whispering to the ball.

Thanks to Alp I now know the "5-second back-to-the-basket violation" really exists. I only know it from 2K previously
