Trump 2.0's Unilateral Tariffs, apart from being unconstitutional, are the antithesis of free-market Capitalism Is Trump 2.0's investment in Intel Corp Marxist? DUI-hired Hegseth warns Anthropic Corp to let the military use company's AI tech as it sees fit , or risk losing its government contracts
In a lengthy statement on Thursday, Anthropic's CEO, Amodei, responded to DUI's threat, "Regardless, these threats do not change our position: we cannot in good conscience accede to their request." Anthropic does not want its AI platform to be used for mass domestic surveillance or fully autonomous weapons. Should the Department choose to offboard Anthropic, we will work to enable a smooth transition to another provider, avoiding any disruption to ongoing military planning, operations, or other critical missions." Trump orders every federal agency to "immediately" stop using Anthropic's artificial intelligence model, Claude, the only AI model used in the military’s classified systems.
on the heels of Trump's order, Anthropic CEO Amodei blasts OpenAI for 'mendacious' Pentagon deal The Anthropic CEO called OpenAI's public portrayal of the agreement ‘mendacious’ and ‘straight up lies’, intended more to appease critics and create a bad impression than to actually prevent risky uses of AI in military settings. Amodei stated in the memo that Anthropic's unwillingness to get close to the current US government was the reason for the tense relationship between Anthropic and the Trump administration.
THere ain't nothing socialist about Trump. It's a Neo-Royalist/Mafia/Oligarchy of the Epstein Classes - has very little to do with market regulation defaults. Let's be honest "free-market" capitalism - which is the phrase championed by Epstein class adjacent people who have captured markets and regulators and use force of law to keep them unfree - was never the thing it pretended to be. Freedom was not welcomed by firms to whom monoloply and market power was the goal. Free markets was simply code for distribution of resources to a small group of people adjacent to the poeple who already got most of them. Asymmetric returns & consolidation have made it an even smaller, more portable group, and the current (terrible) global oligarchy class has solididifed across national boundaries to try to keep it that way.
Trump chickening out again, when he made a deal with Nvidia, opens new tab to give the U.S. gov't a cut of the AI chipmaker's sales in exchange for resuming exports of banned AI chips to China. Months earlier, his own administration had banned the sale of H20 chips to China, reversing the decision in July as part of what the government said were negotiations on rare earths. the latest move drew condemnation from U.S. lawmakers in both parties who warned that it risked creating a pay-for-play framework, aka Socialism, for the sale of sensitive technologies to U.S. adversaries, a concern echoed by analysts and legal experts.
Hey scooby doo, you might as well post your bullshiit in hieroglyphics. Nobody cares to read or understands your fake news. You squirrels are doing this to your own state of California everyday and you expect others to fall for it? Lol
the latest TACO move, Trump 2.0 helping Boeing to sell planes to the supposed target of the trade war, Boeing, with help from Trump 2.0, in talks with China over order for up 500 aircraft Citing a source familiar with the talks on August 21, 2025, Bloomberg claimed the deal was dependent on the easing of tariff tensions between US and China.
Again this is much more fascist than socialist or marxist. Fascist ideology held that private property and profit motives were permitted, but only if they served the national interest. In practice, this meant a partnership where the state directed economic activity through corporatism, essentially controlling industrial policy.
I was up all night last night and I read a great article in liberal currents on this. The real common signifier of fascism is basically violence and the willingness to use state violence, either physical, legal or economic, or the threat there of to protect in-groups and hurt out groups, with no other ideological commitments. So if that threat involves nationalizing industries ok, if it involves privatizing government agencies, also ok. The bullying is what matters That is Trumpism chapter and verse Another good point in the article was that Fascism is not - as some implied including me - a natural end point of conservatism insofar as conservatism had a (flawed) IMO motive of preserving existing power groups by citing some higher power (religion or class or right wing economic theory). Turns out that most of the adherents to the American conservative movement were much more susceptible to fascism than to any actual allegiance to the creed, which is why the conservative movement is dead (there are many such cases here on the BBS) Anyway here is the very long & compelling piece - I advise everyone who's interested to subscribe to Liberal Currents - it's FREE, really great and much deeper than just "current event hot takes" https://www.liberalcurrents.com/it-wasnt-fascism-all-along/
