Our offense seems less terrible when he’s on the floor. And we need ball-handlers. Lock him in.

 

That seems too complicated. Not to mention another team could sign him. Just convert him and be done with it.

 

Teams can’t pouch a 2-way player just because they exhausted their nba games, can they? Danuel House would have gotten pouched then.

Didn't say it wasn't complicated, only that there is a scenario where it was possible even if unlikely. Need a buyout candidate willing to wait. JD can't be taken while on a 2-way even if NBA game availability is gone.

You’re likely right. Either way, I think Davison will help more than most buyout players.

Its pretty obvious what we are going to do, he played himself into a deal with us.

 

JD should be in the regular rotation, he’s basically the only true pg suited up

 

I’m just sure neither will play anymore and I’d rather ditch our 6th wing defender than the guy with championship experience. Tate only even got minutes because we were playing forwards as guards, if you sign a guard then he'll be the 15th man on this team.

 

And OKC picked up Isaiah Joe when he got waived. Occasionally a good young player gets waived. Hell, Cam Thomas is a pretty awesome scorer off the bench (though I'm not sure he'd ever accept that role).

 

But we have the worst scouting group in the league....they chose Reed over Castle.

Not betting on them finding that diamond in the rough.

 

There's a guy who 8 months ago finished with these season averages for Greg Popovic's Spurs:

82 games
28 minutes per game
8.8 points, 37.7% from 3, 47% from midrange
7.4 assists to 1.6 TO's
Passable defense
Elite floor general
Elite mentor for guards

But you guys want to believe that 4 months later he aged 70 years because he started a season slow. In reality he's probably only slightly worse than before with a bigger chip on his shoulder after what happened with Frank/Lue.

We just need 15-20 minutes from him. It's the right move for us and no one can offer him a better role than that.

 

Ah yes... what the Rockets need is another 29% 3 point shooting guard. That would fix everything.

 

I still wonder if the Bulls buyout Sexton or Simons.

Right now Tre Jones is injured, but he is having a career year for them, once he comes back there won’t be enough minutes for the expiring, UFA, 27 year old guards who are not both going to be a part of their future.

In my opinion we actually need a 3rd string C more than a PG. Mo Bamba, Bol Bol or Alex Len?

 

Bol Bol would be my choice if that was the case.
