Yeah its actually incredibly concerning. People who think KD is a good defender are on drugs. Can he be? Sure. Is he one? No. Sengun and Jabari are better defenders. Through 2 games he has not been sharp at all on either side of the ball. Spare me those 37 pts vs the Pistons. He hasnt done a good job of getting free (and Reed gets to take the blame for that) a lot and like you said, he mails it in a lot on defense.

We need to go all in on developing the youth. We do *not* need to trade for a PG or anything of the sort to appease *this* version of Kevin Durant. Keep running Reed and Amen because *this* KD is the type of player that can put you over the top but he is a specialist. No longer an integral cog or engine. And he hasnt been good enough through 2 games but luckily we arent Phoenix who was completely devoid of talent outside of KD and Book.

I'm not sure what we're going to get from Reed, but I agree that I want to see what he can do over a larger sample size rather than making some kind of panic trade right now. At the deadline, maybe, but if so, it should be for a younger guard who fits the timeline of our core, not another veteran stopgap, IMO.

If the coach's name wasn't Udoka who works well with veterans.

I see that guys still hold out fantasies with Udoka being this great coach that develops talent and coaches star veterans......

In reality those gems that would have developed on other teams, develop here as well.

Rockets played the best team in the West game 1 and the best team in the East game 2. We also almost beat both of those teams when it's the first games playing together trying to integrate KD. Detroit is 10-2, OKC is 12-1
