It is a sad reality. Years later I remembered how Leavell ‘organized’ things to ensure reasonable recreation.

However, stuff does happen. 36-37 years ago I was playing against someone better than I. She was #1 doubles and #3 IIRC singles in Ohio. We were competitive and both enjoyed our weekly matches. One night she busted my nose open. Because we were each trying to out cat/mouse the other. My court cleverity ‘hid’ me from her. After the Rey rewarding match, she was upset enough I WON!, I got several stitches.

So, yeah, let’s weight the odds and go. Playing against folks you were describing, I was describing, sour the odds. Against my opponent just referenced? Stuff happens.

PS stitches out he following week/match? Uh, I think she smoked me.
