Nobody has money to sign him, so he has to opt into his deal and get traded. That said, he’s not coming here. The only place I could see him going this late in his career is Cleveland, especially since they are actually good.
Who will be able to trade 56M for him? Thats a lot of money and players coming back. Its not like other teams will send max players for Lebron given that he'll be 41 this upcoming season and might even retire at season end. Do you see Cavs trading Mobley for possibly one season of Lebron? I don't. If he really wanted to be traded he should have opted out and then signed a 20-30M deal with the Lakers that would make him more tradable. Or better yet sign for vet min and go ring chasing on the Nuggets or something. IMO this is just a smokescreen he doesnt wanna leave the Lakers and this is him putting pressure on the team to get players like maybe a true center.

The Knicks should be blowing up Rich Paul right now to get LeBron...they could do a straight up trade: KAT for LeBron Salaries would match Lakers get their Center Knicks would be automatic favorites to come out the East Lebron gets his wish of building another superteam, and he gets to pick his next coach (Knicks still haven't hired a coach).
