Had some good minutes when his number was called.

Never expected him to be brought back next season, but salary matching is pretty tough with him gone. I figured they would have waited until after the draft to see if any good trades shake free instead of betting everything on free agency.

    He said amen > Şengün

I’ll always love him for that.

He played his role well enough as a 3rd string center. I appreciated his professionalism and work.

    Good luck to you Jock.

I liked him as well. He did his job for what was paid, he was cool and professional when his number was called. Wish him well

Curious if we use the second round pick on center depth or perhaps everyone liked the flashes of ability they saw in N'Faly and pick him up again.

I surely thought he was headed to BOS for Hauser....

Well we thought the non-guaranteed contract would come in handy for a trade, but it never materialized. He had some good moments the last couple of seasons and was a good lockerroom guy. I definitely think he’s a capable backup center in the NBA, just needs another opportunity. Was developing a sneaky mid-range too. Wishing him lots of luck going forward. I liked Jock.

if thats the case, decline his contract and resign him at 2yrs worth the minimum. He is a very solid 3rd string center.

Jock was fine as a third string center. I think he had one of the best contracts in the game, especially for a C, even as a backup C. He didn't really get a chance to play much. Does this mean we're looking at a 3rd string C or will be happy with Sengun, Adams, Jabari at C?

Makes sense. Gives us much more flexibility. He was decent as a third center but not worth 8 mil.

I'm sure Jock leaves with nothing but good vibes for the Rockets organization. He made $16 million the last 2 years which nuked his prior earnings.

He never turned back into the guy that battled Jokic like a beast in the Suns/Nuggets playoff series.

    Wish him the best.

He may have better options to showcase himself for next year's contract. The Rockets just don't have minutes for him unless Alp or Adams are injured.

He can still be used as salary matching as a sign-and-trade but with more salary flexibility

8 million was too much for a 3rd string, but I'm not sold on Adams playing 82 games next season.

Will they? What if they don’t? What if they trade him (& Holiday; combined $12.9M)? Evan Sidery is an aggregator, not a source.

    Bol Bol for 3rd “big”? @LosPollosHermanos @tinman

They are gonna need a 3rd big. (Maybe also N’Faly?)
