ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets 5/4/2025 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 7)

Makes me a little less depressed to know we have this beast for another decade. 22 year old tried to will us back in a game 7.

 

Fertita just needs to go and hire like the 5 best shooting coaches in the world and that should be the full off season plan for every Rockets player younger than 25. FT's, 3's, and 17 ft's from the angle.

 

Looking back I bet Gary Payton III was healthy all along and they just sat him because it was so obvious he was dragging them down when we played zone. His "illness" hurt us bad.

 

I was saying earlier that Jalen should've been be removed from the starting lineup Game 7 due to the attention he drew from GS defense.

Regardless it's nearly impossible for a team's leading scorer to go single digits in 4 out of 7 games --- sub-13 in 6 of 7 games. It's nothing new for teams to scheme against players in the playoffs.

Jalen may have set a record of futility.

I have never been a big Jabari fan but I liked what I saw in the series. Maybe he can prove me wrong in a big way next year and he will actually be utilized

 

I do not want KD or Harden; both are over the hill and thru the meadow. Forget about it.

 

We might be talking about Jalen and others not showing up when we needed them to, but remember.....if we made our free throws in Games 1, 3, and 4, we might have finished up this series instead of it going to 7.

That **** was a problem in the regular season, haunted us in the playoffs, and going to be a problem forever if that doesn't get fixed.

 

We're going to need the Warriors to suck for the rest of our lives to make up for this run of theirs right now. Like the Pats since Brady and the Spurs since Duncan; those runs are still ongoing and need to continue. Things are still not even.

 

Why? Why would you watch that?

Disappointing end to the season but I just have to say - at least this team is fun to watch again. The harden years we NOT my cup of tea. I like the defense these guys play and I hope they can keep Adams and the core get in the gym to improve their offense during the offseason (and Reed bulks up a bit so he can stay on the floor defensively)
