In Russia I do not except a following of the rule of law. Here in the US I do.

What these terrorists deserve has nothing to do with it. The fact is the system of justice allows for intelligence gathering that could thwart another attack, learn the methods, or learn their chain of command so you can target up the chain.

The Russians who tortured these ISIL terrorists probably got bad information if anything. Ask anyone who served in intelligence who leads or led interrogations… just simply using torture does not work. Especially with true believers like ISIL has.

I know the right has a fixation with Russia right now where everything they do looks to them like a blueprint for what they think the US should start doing things but this isn’t one of them. Torture doesn’t bring back any of the innocent victims and almost surely costs you the ability to prevent future attacks, and the propaganda you create leads to more innocent civilians getting killed in future inspired attacks.
