Seems like a Rocket's center; CRAFTY around the rim, not a good shot blocker, shots ok

This, and then the rumours about Alec Burkes?

Should I read something into this?
Like some house cleaning is coming and we will need more bodies in its aftermath?

    Probably baseless stories. Right?

Wish we'd got Bertans instead of Oladipo and Earl... Not that Bertans is very good, but his shot is pure.

I don't really see much hope for a 6'9 C with a 6'9 wingspan. He is pretty mobile I guess?

How long will it be till we have a thread dedicated to the true height of J R-E. I mean nobody’s actually 6’9. Right?

He seems fine as a third string type of guy. Probably better than Garuba. Probably not going to move the needle this season, but he could develop into a legit bench guy.

Bertans is a defensive sieve, at least this dude is good for a couple hard fouls. SF is also our deepest position doubt Bertans will see any PT.

Center feels like a position of extreme need for this team. I don't expect Robinson Earl to be the answer, but I'm not sure the other guys on the roster are either.

Thinking the same thing - they have 16 standard contracts on the books and have to dump one before the start of the regular season.

    JRE's is guaranteed $1,900,000.

Boban is guaranteed $1.3m with the rest guaranteed 1/10/24

Aaron Holiday is guaranteed $1,051,930 with the rest guaranteed 1/10/24.

Can't see them waiving Holiday, he's played decent backup PG minutes.

I would guess it comes down to JRE or Boban.

Just offer Boban a job on the coaching staff. We're already essentially paying him to be a locker room guy anyway.

JRE is a good player and should stick as a backup PF. You are correct that this team needs a legit big.

Not even close--Holiday can actually hit wide-open jumpers, just to begin with.
