Elon's biggest problem @ Twitter - he's not funny at tweeting

I dont think $100 a month would break Musks wallet either way. He doesnt want these accounts to be spoofed and abused. Its a very inexpensive way to keep their followers on twitter.

 

So basically Elon has converted famous accounts into bots. Who even knows if what gets posted on those accounts are really them now.

Those accounts were already verified. No need to go woke and insinuated musk is violating their right to consent.

Unverified account doesn't mean James and King are kicked off the platform. It's primarily a dig at them refusing to conform all while making sure their accounts aren't spoofed. If James account is unverified, then dozens of spoofed accounts will be created, creating lots of misinformation. From there, James followers will simply stop using Twitter for James content due to them not able to distinguish between his account and the spoofed.

 

Right..... lord and peasant system....... The lords like Lebron and Stephen King don't pay and the peasants like @Space Ghost pay.

The difference is that Twitter removes all verification and this symbolizes Twitter blue, not verification. Unless Musk specifically offered free Twitter blue and Lebron and Stephen King agreed to it (Stephen specifically said he does not), this would be no different than photo shopping Nike shoes on them and then Nike saying they gave free shoes to them so it's all good.

 

You guys are over thinking this. Your example is terrible. James and king can both delete their accounts. Twitter/musk is not running their account. You can't delete a photo shopped photo. There is no great injustice here.

 

There is no verification. Don't overthink.
