Nah. Wemby is not going to pan out. Absolute career ceiling = Ralph Sampson.

But anyway, as for the Mavs? I would have kept Brunson, my wing defenders, and my picks. I would not have gone after Kyrie and started playing a set of guys 40 minutes per night, even on back-to-backs. But that's what they have to do now. Good luck.

Well the "plan" now with Kyrie & Luka is to simply outscore everyone. Can't wait to see how that works out for them come playoff time when teams ratchet up their defensive intensity. It appears that Kidd is not a fan of bigs who can play defense which is why you get to see Powell stink it up on a nightly basis.

That's a really long answer to simply say, "I'm not sure."

are you saying that because of the injury concerns?

In no small part, ... yes.
I kinda look at these Chet-like, Ralph-like body types from a physicist lens, if that makes sense.
I could be way off, but I tend to predict better in basketball than football. #lowbar

You’re not wrong. Guys at 7’4” or taller all have limited minutes by the time they’re 30 and are done with their career in early 30s. I just think Wemby might be special enough to take anyway, just knowing you better piece a team around him quickly.

    (

I can't bring myself to finish reading your wall of text because you called D-lo as the linchpin of a team's culture. That's the guy who publicly criticized his newly acquired super-max center and was shipped out for it just a week or so ago.

Also, let's not blame Harden for breaking apart that paper-championship team - all three of those headcases had something to do with the chemistry of that team. For all we know these GM wannabees forced Nets' hand to give up a boatload for Harden (which is great or we would've been saddled with Simmons ugly contract right now instead of Brooklyn).

    Ps I lived in Brooklyn
