    What a debacle for Carlos' camp. That is almost the exact same AAV as the Astros 5 yr/$160M offer, with one extra year. I'm sure Crane could've settled at a sixth year no problem, but Carlos was seeking a 10 year mega deal. Correa basically walking away from the dynasty without getting a raise anywhere. What a colossal eff up.

    Damn he has to settle for less money, less years, live in frigid ass Minnesota and probably not play competitive playoff baseball for awhile.

    Probably a massive disappointment coming from the Mets. I feel for him.

    Cohen saw an opportunity to pounce and squeeze him and Boras without much risk after the Giants deal fell through.

    Uhhh, what? He already collected $35MM from the Twins, so combined, he'll make $235MM over 7 years, or possibly $280MM / 9 yrs if he meets PA requirements (or $305MM if the first tweet is correct).

    After failing in his first two contracts $300MM+ this year, his 3rd best option is miles away better than what the Astros offered. And that's after a new injury. That tells you how ridiculously bad the Astros' offer was and why it was so easy to reject.
