Who cares? He's getting billions in tax cuts to make his money and sure as hell isn't going to hire enough people to make up for that deal.

 

Some of his titles and post just make me chuckle - I think they are witty at times even if dumb. But yeah, he bombs *a lot* too.

 

Honestly I used to get more worked up on here ironically when I used to be somewhat of a troll. But now I realize this is more a distraction and I'm not really having any kind of impact here. It's really for my own sake - to learn other perspectives and test my ideas and what holes in them. That's why I appreciate someone like @Os Trigonum - I can see why he can ruffle a lot of people's feathers and at times I used to get annoyed with him, but there's aren't a lot of intelligent alternative opinions on this board so you have to treasure the few that are there otherwise our counter perspective is reduced to mojoman and such. I think he's a good dude and he will treat you with respect if you treat him with respect.

There isn't anything cruel about @tinman's post. His jibes at people are not deeply personal. I'm glad I've come to a point where I don't have any issue with posters on this board save one, and even with that poster I really don't wish to have issues and would be open to burying the hatchet if the opportunity arose.

All of us here use the D&D to spew forth our opinions in various forms. I don't know if I ever agree with @tinman, but like I said, usually he keeps his discussions to the threads he creates and thus doesn't interfere too much with people having their most intense debates, and at times brings a dose of levity as do some of the other posters.

I get it not all of us have the same sense of humor and I admit to getting annoyed to every now and then. That said I don't think it's worthwhile to get worked up over if a poster I might often agree with agrees with another poster that I don't agree with or finds something I don't find funny funny.

I don't think there's a single poster here that I agree with 100% of the time and there are plenty of times that I have disagreements and debates with posters who on the Clutchfans spectrum I am more ideologically aligned with. That's not a bad thing. That is what "Debate and Discussion" is supposed to be about.

And this isn't a problem that is unique to D&D. This permeates our society no matter where you are on the ideological spectrum. Even among "moderates" there is too often a sense of tribalism and that this is a zero sum game.

I have friends and even family who are die hard MAGA "Lets Go Brandon!". I don't think they are bad people. I have friends who are "Woke!" and if they had their way would overthrow the Capitalist Patriarchy. I don't think they are bad people. Now some of those people from both groups have quit being my friend because they don't like my political opinions. I personally think that is sad as I judge them more by how they treat me personally than what they post on social media.
