    It's not just because, lol. PHX hasn't been a 'good' team since the 2009 season, which was the last time they made the playoffs. Because there are already a whole bunch of good teams in the west, it's hard to envision them suddenly making a jump to the upper echelon of WC playoff teams.

    They'll probably make the playoffs, but it's a hard sell on them being top 5 tbh. However, shortened season + CP3 is a good formula. And since they're 5-1, something is clearly clicking.

    I can easily see them getting top 5 and I untimely think they end up there. They are very very well coached. They made really big leaps even pre bubble last year. Bridges has come into his own and is a superb defender. Ayton is growing. Book of course is an all-star. CP3 and Crowder were excellent pick ups by the FO. They score and defend very well. I see the top 5 as this:
