    Never really thought of Lando as the hacker type; he had to tap into that robot guy in Cloud City to pull the double-cross on the Empire.

    Plus Rian Johnson didn't really seem interested in reusing Original Trilogy characters. "Let the past die" and all that jazz.

    They ended up bringing Lando back for 9 and Benecio del Toro's character played no significance.
