Because Trump is a narcissist that is incapable of having empathy for others. He’s a disgusting human being.
Trump HAS to be trying to prove a point right? Surely he is trying to show people how stupid he can sound and still get a ton of votes. It HAS to be that. I refuse to believe he watches these interviews and thinks “Hey, I did a terrific job, I should go do another interview.”
Yes, I bet if Bill Gates really applies himself, pulls himself up by his bootstraps, he just might get rich some day. I think he's got a shot to do it.
Latest figures. "COVID-19 Deaths In The U.S.: How We Compare With Other Countries : Goats and Soda : NPR" https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsa...-covid-19-deaths-per-capita-and-by-case-count
Ironically, if the US was testing less (which Trump appears to want) the deaths per confirmed case would rise much higher and he would look worse. He wants it both ways. Less case determination and lower death percentage.
Replying a second time. Considering the data only cites countries with more than 50,000 cases, the USA is in much better shape. For example, South Korea isn't included, nor are other "successful" countries that would make the USA look worse
Replying a third time... the one chart shows the US is 8 out of 10 with deaths per population in countries with more than 50,000 cases. What the chart falls to show are the other 35 or so countries that qualify, and all 35 or so are better than the US. So while the US is 8 out of those 10 countries, they are also 8 out of 45.
Not good, that of 215 countries/ territories listed in the world 205 have less deaths per capita. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries Trump tries to portray what a great job we are doing by ignoring that important fact. Meanwhile, Texas went from 3,003 deaths to 7,880 in the past month, and schools will open, sports will begin, and the spread will get worse.
And what you haven't considered is that the percentages are dropping off by the 10ths of a percentage as per the bar indicator. Iow, the rest of the countries are likely within 1% or so.
