Actually, yes. Other people in the media and that watch the media (eg Soledad O'Brien) have been also holding media members to task for not providing context or challenging misstruths, lies, or even simple mistakes. The reason... many people will listen to or read things communicated by government/elected officials and repeat them or believe them. Even people here repeat or quote lies they read or hear. The Hill could/should have pointed out that the senator was wrong about MERS and swine flu by providing accurate information about the origins of both diseases. You don't agree that the media has a responsibility to provide people with accurate information?
UK about to get torched worse than all europe and Italy. I think it is really sad but the political slant of folks in UK has caused them to believe its 'no biggie' like some folks here on this bbs. They havent taken as seriously in UK early enough. Thankfully the 'no biggie' folks are a few here and there in usa. Wow, while others including the president were downplaying Coronavirus, burr was privately comparing to the 1917 flu pandemic, the most severe pandemeic of recent times. Why didn't he speak out publicly? Why was staying quiet to not contradict trump so important?
