Maybe you haven't followed Greens career that closely lol, dude has always been a very explosive athlete and dunker. Slashing is kind of the only thing that he's ever been good at over his career, he's not a particularly good defender, rebounder or reliable shooter, but he's always been decent at using his athleticism to drive and score a bit.
Carroll has been solid defensively thus far actually. Not any type of scoring threat yet, but still infinitely better as a backup C when compared to Chandler and Nene.
Has he been playing C? I didn't realize. Looks more like he's getting the majority of his minutes at the 4 and Green at the 5. I do like his defense. I agree with that.
Its f*cling thrilled see Jeff Green made slam dunk…his long arm n vertical jumping ability make it full of strength Luv we signing him, seeing him off the the bench
Wanted him since the off-season, glad he will stick around. He's so calm on the court, but with that inner fire.
It takes him 2 strides to get to the rim from the 3 pt line. It's been forever since we've had a big that mobile and athletic.
yeah. he is soooooooo solid and versatile! and definitely fit in w/ the kinda role we drew up to him, i.e. dunt need him off the bench to contribute 15pts every night, just 5-10pts is enough. EDIT: he looks extremely comfortable w/ the role, by far.
yup, signed before the MEM's game, the contract to end of this season. I just forgot the amount that salary. (guess I saw feigen twitted)
Was hoping we could sneak in a team option for next year. I mean he did go unsigned for half the season.
This apparently was never about us wanting to see if he fit, but all about whether or not Green wanted to be here. Rockets wanted him, but he held the cards here, and the 10-day was so he could decide if he wanted to stay. NO way he was signing a team-option. We'd have more likely seen a player option, honestly.
He was an excellent defender with Lebron and Cavs. He is an uber elite athlete that does not always have the consistency or mental acuity of the superstars.
