the only thing thats new is the rockets are doubling down on it and its their true identity. well if that's the strength of your team, lets see what happens.
Yes, we can agree to disagree that teams adjust with more game info and in a playoff series. It's deeper than just going small, but again glad we won. We'll see how things play out.
that part i 100 agree on. asking harden to bang centers for 82 games...i forsee alot of injurys n broken down players. everything else tho was dumb. but at the same time when we gell i forsee alot of blow outs. so maybe it will be. we have to see
GSW's small ball wasn't "micro-ball" like this. Durant is 6'10-6'11. They had a big man on the court. We didn't play a guy over 6'7". This is micro ball.....lol. Can we win it all this way? MDA will get the last laugh if we do.
Sustainabilty is obviously the biggest issue. But lets be honest, given MD's penchant for short rotations and Rockets reliance on 3 pointers already, that was always going to be an issue. Basically this is an experiment to nudge the percentages even more in the Rockets favor with more space on offense. The biggest problem with TNT post-game comments is that it was contradictory. Barkley is okay with Russ and Harden getting whatever points they want 1 v. 1, but fears losing because AD and Lebron should have done the same thing on the other end? Rockets have an issue because 1 star has to play well every game, which is requirement for every team with a few star players. Basically they couldn't think of anything to say so they framed the hall-filled/half-empty glass of water in the perspective they wanted to fit their narrative.
not sure what we're disagreeing about. i literally just mentioned how the lakers adjusted this game. they went small. that plays exactly how the rockets want teams to do. this is the point of the lineup in the first place. make others match up with them, not the other way around
This may have been the single most reinvigorating regular season win I've ever had. The more I've thought about our crazy plan, the more I've liked it. And then to go out and beat the opponent we should be most vulnerable to in their gym. Hard to not be a little hyped.
Whatever Jokic gets offensively, he will give right back trying to guard quicker Rockets on the perimeter. Same for Embiid. Anthony Davis has the lateral quickness to they lack.
Good win had to stop watching around the 4th. Got busy but I’m glad we won. wanted to hear what excuses the tnt crew were going to say after mocking us in the pregame
It's going to be interesting to see the adjustment when the 3pt shots eventually stop falling. Hopefully the wear and tear doesn't get to be to much.
