I was literally replying to a poster who said Harden doesn't care about winning MVPs.

I have always said Harden needs to go off on one of these TV personalities one day. No disrespect will ever happen after that.

You don't hear Shaq making funny of McGee any more. The no neck remarks toward Windhorst by Green keeps the entire ESPN from criticizing Green. Kobe, RIP, also refused to allow foolish criticism to go unchallenged.

I get Harden is a class dude, but until then these no talent idiots will keep picking on him.

Neither of them like him because of the MVP races, and he takes some of the attention away from them.

Harden in all star games barely does any dribbling or driving

Pretty much all he does is pass and jack up threes

This team does brick more WIDE open 3s than just about any other team I've watched. It's ridiculous. At least PJ has the excuse he's likely hurt.

According to NBA.com there are 12 teams with worse 3 pt percentages from wide open shots including the team with the best record in the league.

This whole narrative that Harden is just a dribbler that doesn't pass is so stupid and only comes from people who are shortsighted with the memory of a goldfish. Since Harden's been in the league, he's been known as a talented scorer but it was his passing ability that separated him from the pack and made him the de facto best SG in the league. He even led him the league in assists the one year he was our full time PG.

It wasn't until 2018 when we switched to an iso heavy system to combat the warriors that this narrative of him being a ballhog came to fruition. And it wasn't until last season when he had to carry our injured team with 36.1 PPG that this narrative started picking up steam. That's right... people are calling him a ballhog just cause he IMPROVED his scoring ability to such an extent, nvm the fact that he was still averaging 7+ assists a game on top of that.

People are negatively stigmatizing him as a ballhog just cause hes dominating scoring the last 2 years by a wide margin that they think it's because he doesn't pass. Smh

But they are near the bottom in open shots 4-6ft while the bucks are near the top.

The Bucks and the Rockets have more attempts in the 6+ ft range than 3-6ft range. Bucks get a significantly larger portion of their 3pt attempts from 6+ ft than 3-6 ft.

I wish Harden can win the all star mvp to make them shut up!

Last season all star game Harden had too many TOs and bricks, it’s unwatchable. Just stay focus and make those shots! Stop careless turnovers.

And? That doesnt change what I said. They shoot 36% on open shots, we shoot 32% on open shots, thats horrendous, the attempts dont account for that huge of a percentage gap.

Fair. 12 worse is still bottom half of the league, but at least they aren't totally inept. Doubt those worse shooting teams have anywhere near the Rockets' volume, so it's probably the sheer number of Rockets misses that fooled me.

Thank you and @HP3 for clearing that up

But let’s not discuss the best team in league being heads and shoulders better defensively. We have our issues but offense is the least of them.

Also, the media are money lazy earners that don't watch the games, they just repeat what others say. Heck, Barkley has said he falls asleep during the games, then comments on them. How many games lately have we seen Harden "dribble, dribble dribble" as Barkley says. Um, Barkley, maybe if you woke up, you might see the double team on Harden every time he has the ball...the "dribble dribble, dribble" is almost non-existent.

Something for us to think about, guarantee other NBA players think that.
