"Faulty" messiah, indeed. Great. Start a war, appease those who take the Bible 125% literally. Throw in a heaping scoop of American exceptionalism. Set to boil.
This is my moms side of the family and it’s 100% real, but every day there is a new doomsday prophecy so take what they do with a grain of salt. They thought what George Bush Senior announced a “New World Order” in the 90’s that this was prophecy of end times. These folks are nuts, but they are family and friends so we tolerate their obsession with the end of the world. They are mostly full of BS though when it comes to taking any action. They enjoy their trips to Branson, and their new SUV’s too much to actually change their lifestyle at all.
End of world prophecies have been around for centuries. I recall the first time I heard the 'New World Order'- Illuminati conspiracy in the early to mid 90's. A guy I knew started going to church and brought over a VHS tape with a supposed CIA agent addressing an audience. The CIA guy predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union but said it was a guise to fool America. He alsoo gave me a book by Pat Robertson "The New World Order". He and others at the church expected a date in the late 90's to trigger the time of tribulation (7 years, I believe). Once Y2K and 2112 happened, I guess their timeline gets reshuffled every few years. Bush Sr. was at the head of it all, being in the CIA, the CFR and Trilateral Commission, etc... Conspiracy stories are good fun! The one I enjoyed the most is a book about the Bush family and how Pappi Bush has been involved in every major historical thing in our government since the late 40's early 50's. His oil company supposedly owned the oil rigs the Bay of Pigs invasion used. Good fun stuff. The Q'Anon rhetoric is same ole same ole but more dangerous because of the cult following he's developed that feeds the alt right.
Showdown :Massaih Trump vs Mahdi Khamini https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hujjat-Allah_al-Mahdi some strong evidence here... https://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235038097-shocking-america-on-the-hunt-for-imam-mahdi/
They were around since biblical times. The people at the time the Bible was happening absolutely believed that the 'second coming' and end times would happen during their lifetime. Basically every generation since has thouhgt it would happen in their lifetimes.
The evangelicals might want to read their BIBLE again. The rapture should get them to heaven on the pronto. No need for prepping and guns.
Gotta cover your ass just in case the screw up you've said you're sorry for keeps you off the list and you get to stay back to fight the good fight.
Maybe.. Just maybe Nostradamus knew what he was talking about... http://history.com/topics/paranormal/nostradamus-and-the-unknown-antichrist-video Could Trump be the Anti-Christ? hmmm very interesting.. T_Man
What is perfectly clear is that we have a president that is historically inept, unqualified, unprepared, and dangerous on a biblical scale.
I still haven't seen of these people lay out a case based on the actual words in the Bible, just a bunch of vague "end times" talk with nothing to back it up. Not that Revelaions makes a great deal of sense in the first place. Last I checked Megiddo, the place that gives us the name Armageddon, where the final battle between good and evil takes place according to Revelations is still in Israel.
