It’s the same as it ever was. O’Brien will get enough mediocre-ish wins to convince dumb ownership he should keep his job.
I'm no BoB fan but this year is different in that we are winning big games against quality opponents. In the past we only took out the trash.
This was a good win vs a hot Titans team on the road. I would not call the Chiefs and Pats wins mediocre as well. We will win 10+ games again with a much more difficult schedule than last year despite deficiencies along the trenches.
Big win. There were some ugly moments but a potential playoff team on the road is nothing to sneeze at. This team could make the AFC championship game or lose the next 2 and miss the playoffs and I wouldn’t be surprised either way.
I’d be super shocked if they made the AFC championship game as the 4 seed. I’d still be shocked if they made it as the 3 seed though slightly less so. I will say this though - IF they make the AFC championship game I wouldn’t be shocked if they won that game. But for now, against a top seed with a LOT better coach with 2 weeks to prepare on the road it’s very hard to see happening. And even then it’s not clear to me who the preferred opponent is?? I’d certainly say Ravens you want to play last or not at all. Finally, if Fuller misses a game and they still win in the playoffs in any round would be a miracle.
I was just going through a roundabout way of saying the Texans are inconsistent. But yes if the Texans were to upset a team on the road to make the AFC championship game it’d be pretty darn surprising.
Watson threw some absolute dimes out there today. And some idiotic throws to boot. The Texans need more consistency from him in the playoffs.
