Mike is horrible but this is what happens when you cheap out on adding depth in the offseason

Bullshit, teams have made a comeback down by 10 with 1:32 to go. And besides, that is no excuse to not try and play some defense. Rest of his teammates were doing just that, getting back on defense!

Why would you continue to respond after the initial ok? I already conceded the point. I thought we were doing a thing.

So many of Harden's last shots were short
    Means legs were not there

The problem is with the lack of bench play
DanAndToni has no plan to rest players at all

Clark and Clemons deserved more time.
    House needed more bench
Send hartenstein back to the g league or trade him
DanAndToni will not play him so what is the point of having him??

We are by far the most inconsistent team in the league. And this is why you cannot afford to rest any starters at this stage.... we don't have a good enough team for it. Harden clearly ran out of gas, and giving Westbrook some of Harden's minutes would have helped Harden so much tonight. We're already missing Gordon, so resting Westbrook makes no sense at all.

MDA is just not a good coach. He's honestly the reason why Harden hasn't and won't win a championship.

The team wasn't getting back....if that was the case why did they give up so many open layups. Let's be honest, the Rocket weren't getting back at all tonight. Just out there running.

*Edit: Meant wasn't instead of was.

No shame in losing to the Pistons.

    They have won 3 championships.

This loss is not on Harden, he is surrounded by one dimensional pieces that get exposed when Harden doesn't have it and the 3s don't fall.

Probably because they play in a system where they are told to stand and wait on offense and don't form the rhythm and muscle memory to do things outside of standing, waiting and shooting and thus fall apart when they have to?

It's a chicken or the egg dilemma. What happened first. Our role players being so bad that Harden needs to have a usage rate of 40% or our organization coddling Harden to allow him to do whatever he wants on offense where it led to a system where his usage rate is 40% and where he dominated the ball of 90% of a possession?

It was especially glaringly obvious when he couldn't even hit his money shot he is awful shooting from any where else though man what a demoralizing loss, no Drummond and no Blake we still get whipped by a bunch of no name players that destroy us with effort... Tonight was a massively half-assed effort by pretty much the entire team and especially Harden, I get it no Russ put most of the workload on James, but he was flat and slow and disinterested especially defensively most of the game

It is, but James is the Star if we aren't playing the brand of basketball that is going to give him a break he has got to demand more help. The Help is designing the offense to include some sets that will involve the Others. If he just goes with the flow he is going to burn out. I fault James for not enforcing some change surely has a strong voice to get MDA to make better decisions. This is the type of play that gets us beat in the playoffs. On offense the guys are not breaking a sweat its not right to just expect Jame4s to score and create to this crazy degree

One dimensional pieces are exactly what Harden asks for. He wants players that are only good at spot up three point shooting and defense.

This looks exactly like what the Bucks do to us, it was the exact same defense, get a dude to sit on Harden's right and then drive him towards to the rim protector. Still no adjustment to this strategy.
