That pick-off attempt with Alvarez on first and taking that many pitches to retire Reddick...that's all I need to see to know he's not himself right now. He looks SO stressed/uncomfortable out there, he's been overthrowing his FB/spiking his curve. Even though we didn't score that inning that was a win in my eyes...
They're at least being patient against a guy who's not throwing them strikes, so they're driving up his pitch count. They were patient against the Yankees, who WERE throwing strikes and getting woefully behind in counts.
