And just gave up 2 runs in game 1 of that series but it was enough for a loss. They smacked him around on Jeter day in 2017 so he hasn't been invincible.
I know the Astros were pretty disciplined at the plate this year with very low strikeout numbers but please just trust your instincts and swing like you did in 2017 playoffs. Hope they're not overthinking it out there.
The way this offense has been, 1 run seems insurmountable. Hopefully the Astros can get in a rhythm actually seeing the same pitcher twice.
This with the Rays series and the first game with the Yanks I've never seen so many fast balls in the zone just being stared at by the Astros. Very disappointing.
I understand wanting to get deep into counts so I get it but I would like to see them try and ambush Tanaka a little bit
Being disciplined at the plate is one thing, but when you face a guy who doesn't walk many like Tanaka you'd better be up there hacking.
