I mean, this seems clear and obvious to me, sad that the GOP is going to have to be dragged into this, their loyalty to this orange clown is puzzling.
Now trump's acting director on national intelligence having to testify why he initially blocked release: Interesting note that trump's preferred choice for dni was republican congressman john ratcliff, who is sitting in the room.
What he means in that letter is once a US official breaks the law, foreign spies can exploit him with blackmail threatening to turn him in to his own govt. He didn’t mean anything new happened. Maybe the tweeter Alex Mallin meant by “ Wow” and you meant “it gets even worse” cause you didn’t yet connect how foreign spies/intel agencies can exploit US officials who break their own laws. But, I don’t think the letter meant to imply that it was in the process of happening...just that, obviously, we don’t want foreign intel agencies to have recorded dirt on our officials to exploit.
The IG report is pretty bad. In Trump's defense, I believe him when he says he doesn't think he's done anything wrong. This is just who he is.
Who will conduct the interviews of the witnesses alleged in the whistleblower complaint? House counsel or department of Justice lawyers? We need to get the full story here, and those witnesses account of what transpired in the Trump WH will be crucial to corroborate what's alleged in the complaint.
I kinda agree with you. Trump still doesn't know that he needs to separate his personal business from the duties of representing the US. Still, ignorance of the law was never an excuse for anybody.
...there's a first time for everything... ...and it's not exactly like the Donald hasn't done stuff like this before with his own businesses and lived to lie about it...
The Don is the real Teflon guy. Dude has more lives than a cat. Amazing how somebody that sleazy is able to stay in business, albeit with shady characters like the Saudis and Russians, cause no American bank will loan him anything significant.
This stuff on tv with the DNI guy is boring. I want to see the witnesses, as alleged by the whistleblower, testifying under oath.
I keep coming back to this. I don't think I'll ever get an answer that makes sense to me. I can understand voters feeling aggrieved, ignored and desperate for a champion in the face of trends like globalization and the concentration of wealth. I understand wanting to lash out at a system you think has failed you. What I will never understand is why they chose, and continue to stand behind, this man. He ***** on a golden toilet. His wealth is derived from inheritance and fraud. His is a pathological liar. There are no policies he can deliver that could not be delivered by a President Pence. Yet, 38% of the country remains enthralled. I'll never get it.
He's the only candidate who openly says what they feel, that's why. Trump isn't unique in history. The angst with white voters is real and other nations have dealt with this before. They want someone to blame and they want a candidate who will blame someone for them. It's pretty easy to go back in history and find people who rose to power by blaming a minority group for societal woes, raging against globalists and the elite, subsidizing the real "hard workers" of the country, wanting to protect the "identity" of the nation, etc. Those examples typically saw the leader go down a road where they abused power as well as their supporters turned a blind eye because the alternative was a socialist/communist/etc. You don't accidentally turn down the road to authoritarianism. There are street signs every step of the way.
Yes, he probably think that and the coverup isn’t anything wrong either.... except maybe not when he phoned Pelosi and see if there is a deal.
Exactly, which is why he basically admitted what he did. He only changed his tune later (probably when he was told that he was incriminating himself.). When he isn't lying, he's confessing his criminal activities. That is just who he is.
it's not boring to see a non-partisan 40 year navy veteran be accused of intentionally harming his country. it's gross and infuriating; i hate the political grandstanders who grandstand on the careers and lives of true americans.
