Completely different situation though - we were one of the worst teams in MLB history during the period Keuchel was "figuring it out" and we legitimately didn't have a better option at that time. I highly doubt Framber gets that type of leash.

Alright, I hope they pull it out, but I'm fading too fast. Night, guys.

McHugh joining the give up more runs party. Sigh. #MakeADealNow

So... I hope Luhnow is looking at starting pitching and relievers.... because there isn’t much depth at those spots.

Astros bullpen is a serious issue. It’s really scary because it’s not just one pitcher but several. Then we have no starter for tomorrow. I mean no one is hurt outside peacock (McCullers for the season) so didn’t lunhow think about this when the season started? I think he’ll find a way to fix it because he’s a great gm but this is hard to watch

Not paying Charlie Morton might cost us a World Series ring. This is going to sting.

Luhnow is god and always will be. But I think not signing Morton might end up being his biggest regret as the Astros GM.

Resign Morton and you have three #1 pitchers.

What makes you think it was as cut and dry as "pony up money for Morton"?

Charlie wanted to pitch in Florida.

I would say they need to be proactive and not wait until the deadline since the supply is not so great.

Yea in our current situation it amazes me that we don’t even try to stretch James out. It’s like they have already decided he can’t make it as a starter, yet they have no issues running framber out there
