Kawhi Leonard Would Have Signed With Lakers If Not For Clippers' Paul George Trade Kawhi Leonard would have signed with the Los Angeles Lakers had the Los Angeles Clippers been unable to secure their trade for Paul George, sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. By trading an unprecedented package to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Clippers were effectively acquiring George and Leonard, while also blocking Leonard from going to the Lakers. "Without George, they were losing Leonard to the Lakers," writes Wojnarowski while citing sources. The Clippers also held fears that Sam Presti was close to a trade with the Toronto Raptors involving George, which would have resulted in Leonard re-signing with the incumbent team. The Raptors, however, didn't have the ability to counter the Clippers' offer for George. Clippers Pursued Trade Scenarios For Bradley Beal, Jrue Holiday The Los Angeles Clippers made trade calls about the availability of Bradley Beal and Jrue Holiday this offseason. The Washington Wizards declined to make Beal available, while the New Orleans Pelicans had the same position on Holiday. The Clippers eventually took virtually all of their trade assets to acquire Paul George from the Oklahoma City Thunder, which sealed the deal to also sign Kawhi Leonard.
The west is so stacked now.. east looks like a joke. Who are we supposed to fear from the east? Bucks? Maybe other than that...who?
Kawhi Leonard left San Antonio for medical reasons and then went to see a Nurse and now is with a Doc @Carl Herrera @J.R.
I'm looking forward to not facing the warriors in the playoffs as an underdog next year. Hope the remaining warriors are 100% healthy, though I can't imagine FO would allow tanking on purpose in their new toilet bowl arena. All depends on Mr. Glass Steph Curry
2+1? Didn't they say that he was "only looking to sign 4 year contracts"? With only early bird rights, it's basically only a 2 year rent. It seems he quite liked being a mercenary and he's already ready to leave if things don't work out.
damn now I realised, in 2 years it's also Giannis time. Coincidence? Or is Kawhi already looking for his next partner, when George gets old?
