Don't think Cole is going to make it in, but I hope they give Pressly an inning. First timer, and he's earned a chance to throw.
I’m good with that. I’m also good with Pressly pitching the 8th, Cole the 9th and awarding the all star game mvp to “the Astros”.
I guess I don’t disagree as I have no proof but Cole “seems” like a guy that would stay if the money was real close and the lack of state tax makes it a wash. He seems to really value JV, the staff, the coaching staff and mainly the rest of the clubhouse. Get him a ring and see if that holds true....
Ahh. Too bad. The 8th would be over right now with no runs allowed if they'd let him pitch. Edit: Just as I posted, Pressly is warming up in the bullpen.
Charlie Blackmon's and All Star and is 33 years old, and f***wit Joe Buck asked him how many more years he's going to play. Oh, and he signed a 5-year contract extension last spring.
All of Buck's interviews of the micced up players have been painfully awkward. You've got to wonder what it's like to talk to him in person. He probably got some fantastic thoughts about the weather. Buck's got some weird fixation with age. When talking to Lindor: "How about that young guy to your right? He's pretty good." Oh, you mean Platinum-Glove-winning third baseman Matt Chapman who, at 26, is one year OLDER than Francisco Lindor, Joe? Yeah, he's alright.
Aren't those teams up against luxury tax thresholds? Are their funds that limitless to add another $30 million a year player?
Brantley is a professional All Star Game MVP. That is all. Edit: Never Mind but he's our Astros All Star Game MVP
