Thank goodness tomorrow is an off day. I'll gladly accept a blowout victory Friday with Cole going 7.
Well can’t win them all. A little surprised James only went one inning. I have to check but I believe 75-80% of the runs allowed by Verlander this year have been on homers.
Verlander became the 1st pitcher in the Modern Era with 15+ K's and 3 HRs allowed in a game. Not sure I read that correctly.
Damn, oh well. We've put Perez in 2 really tough spots. With all these fringy players getting regular PA it's an accomplishment we've fared as well as we have.
Still blaming this on Kalas. When he started getting all excited about JV's impending record-breaking 15th strikeout, I knew nothing good could come from it. Same baseball physics as talking about a no-hitter.
Kalas does not care or believe about any of that stuff, he's made it clear many times before. We're all idiots and he'll just say whatever he wants to. He's the exact kind of dumbass who would start the wave in the bottom of the 6th while our pitcher has a one hitter going. Ask Lance about it. TK + Blum are great
I’m blaming the umps, noway you overturn that call at 2nd base on Straw. It was too close to be called either way so whatever the calll was on the field should have stood.
They showed the angle on the other broadcast. It was slight, but he did tag him. Straw’s reaction also very telling. If the roles were reversed, we would be livid if they hadn’t overturned it.
I must have missed that angle that definitively showed he was tagged but if he was then so be it I just want an even playing field that I feel we don’t get, maybe it’s from being a Houston sports fan my whole life. I am so ready for electronic strike zone.
