A lot of the talk I've seen in the media is Springer's case for MVP, but Verlander quietly seems to be making his case for his second Cy Young already. He's got the second most wins, the second most strikeouts, the third lowest ERA and the lowest WHIP (by a pretty wide margin) in the AL right now.
Not that prior years should play a huge role in the voting but if it’s even close Verlander should win over whomever is close IMO, it’s crazy he only has won once to me. Edit: Also I don’t see Springer winning it, we’ve seen how streaky he can be and feel he’s going to eventually have a cold spell.
