I like their podcast. But you have to see it through the prism of the fact that they are BAY AREA guys. So they look at things a different way. So, just filtering out that bias, you can still get some interesting info from the pod. In general, most of of the media still underrates Harden in terms of his impact. They just don't watch him every game to see the full effect of what he does.
Well crap. Just finished listening to the open to that podcast and I swear the way they talk about how they ranked players it’s absolutely set up for them to have Harden 1st or 2nd.... They talked about valuing among other things... can you yourself take average talent to the playoffs Are you so good on one side of the ball that you alone will carry your team to greatness on that side of the ball Creating your own shot Not gonna finish listening now that I saw the top 5, have to guess they really dinged Harden for playoff success.
Harden and CP3 have worked so hard to win a championship. They could have joined a super team by taking a small salary just to win a ring. But they didn’t. They have tried to do it the right way. I really hope they get it done this year. They deserve it!!!!
"but james, what if you make them?" had me rolling. it feels like such a perfect summation of our willingness to walk right up to the edge and to try anything, even if it's not accepted by the larger basketball world, and even if actually occasionally the larger basketball world has a point.
James Harden gave up one of his eyes in the playoffs and then dropped 30+ on the Warriors for back to back wins. Next time anyone here calls him a playoff choker, they should gouge out both of their eyes after rinsing them with sulfuric acid.
