That second tweet is like two weeks old. Curious to what Texans are asking for. Since Clowney wants Mack money, and everyone saying he deserves it, we should get Mack-like picks in return.
Texans need to get it together when it comes to Clowney. He is not going to play on the franchise tag and he is not going to accept some below-market 5 year 80 million dollar contract. So either pay the dude his money or trade him. If it means only getting back a late 1st and 3rd rounder so be it. At least the Cowboys were prescient enough to trade for Robert Quinn...I hope the Texans have a contingency plan as well.
Sign him or trade him, I agree. I think it's soemwhat dumb to let him play out this season on the franchise tag. If he's not in your long term plans, use him to acquire potentially two young guys that could really help the team more longer term. Hopefully one of them being an all-pro lineman.
