No, I believe they will only have their MLE to spend and that will go to Rivers or Morris (if he signs and he’s healthy). I expect pretty much the same exact roster that they have now. CP3, Harden, Capela, Gordon, Tucker takes the team over the cap by themselves. Green will stay as long as the Rockets will have him. I don’t think Faried gets a ton of action in FA and returns at the minimum. Nene and Hartenstein are under contract for next season. Same with Clark. Hopefully they get this stuff with House figured out and he’s on the team after RFA. I believe the Rockets have bird rights on Shump so he will probably be back. CP3/Rivers Harden/Shumpert Gordon/Green/House PJ/Clark Capela/Faried/Nene/Hartenstein The only way to get significantly better is by trade. Unfortunately, the rockets don’t have many assets to trade. Losing Gordon would sting and idk if there is much interest around the league for Clark, House or Hartenstein. Luckily, the Rockets have all of their firsts after this draft, but we know those aren’t going to net them much. At least now they don’t have to attach a first to a horrible contract to try to get something back. It’s a pretty bleak outlook tbh.
we don't have any money to buy stars straight up.. maybe from the trade market. i don't have high hope for this summer
