Rockets would have traded Ryno for Tyler in an instant. Weren't the Rockets trying to get Tyler last year but the trade didn't materialize? People trade bad contracts all the time in the NBA except when it comes to the Rockets. It's never easy for Morey.

Tyler Johnson can sorta play? Ryan Anderson cannot. (and hasn't since December 4th) And Phoenix (previously) got De'Anthony Melton HEAT do save some money ($15.6M for Anderson next year; $19.2M Player Option for Johnson) And Wayne Ellington (buyout?)
So Ryan Anderson, Melton and a 1st for us = Chriss and Knight Ryan Anderson for the Heat = Tyler Johnson and Ellington. Damn Moreknee, you dont even ask for other GMs to lube up first.

Ryno $21.2m next season. He has a partial guarantee (i.e. he can be bought out for $15.6m) if they want to waive him, but that's an expensive waive my god. I guess Phoenix can now shop Ellington around for a 2nd rounder too, though if I were them I would ask the Heat to do it. I bet Rockets would give up Chriss and a 2nd for Ellington, even though I'm not a huge fan myself.
