first time experiencing a game inside the new arena tonight. I'm glad its sold out. Heard so many good things about how loud it can get.
Good solid revenge win against a tough opponent last night. Looked like an awesome basketball environment on TV! Did anyone go?
the weather maybe had an effect on attendance. it was a sold out game but a good amount of seats were empty. solid atmosphere though. seeing coach kelvin get into guys up close. you can tell he's well respected and the players listen
One of the commentators calling the game last night said it well...some wins are resume builders..this was a resume defending win. Big win! Go Coogs!
I tried to buy tickets a few weeks ago the only seats available were over $100. The game vs NJIT I paid $12. Guess it depends on the opponent.
do not go to secondary markets for tickets. unless of course that's your only choice after waiting til the game is sold out. go directly through the UH athletics website
If McHale doesn't bring Kelvin Sampson here as a Rockets assistant coach, would there have been any idea to interview/hire him? McHale could end up bringing a championship to Houston after all.
gotcha. yeah if the only seats left are the club sections behind the cougars bench those will be in the $100 range. other than that the majority of the seats in the arena are pretty cheap and even the last rows are solid views the cincinatti game is going to be a battle. by that time cincy should be ranked as well. but UCF is going to be a tough test on the road next week before that. probably the toughest stretch the coogs will have this year
They need to sell cheap tickets so there will be someone to fill the seats at the start of the games. Last nights game as well as most of the others I have watched on TV the arena looks half empty until about halftime. My idea is that those that are late have to wait until half time to get their seats and those that purchased the cheap tickets can move to the standing room only section once the latecomers show up. I am of course being sarcastic and do not understand why the arena is not full although it is apparently sold out. I don't know what the solution is but as well as these kids are playing they deserve a see a full arena at tipoff.
Big week ahead for the Coogs. Thurs vs UCF. Then Sunday at home. #12 UH vs #25 Cincy. Fertitta Center should be as loud as the oregon/lsu matchups
