Anyone else watched the series. It's a lot of fun, especially for those of us who grew up in the 1990s playing video games.
Watched 2 episodes, found it entertaining and funny. If you guys enjoyed this, yall should catch Hinamatsuri. Same kind of humor but more adult.
That Guile-Turtling doe...... Ive also had the debate with many different players about throwing. It says its frowned upon in this show. The people I grew up playing against and with at the local Circle K always frowned upon it. Then I play other people and they look at me like Im crazy cause Im like WTF when they throw. Anybody else?
Throwing was frowned upon on SF2 or a later iteration? I played a decent amount growing up on sf2, and it basically came down to- you did what it took to win, it sucked but man there were some cheap tactics I came across and it helped me get better but I don't recall rules since quarters were at stake. I played a lot at some convenience store and a little at Willowbrook mall's arcade.
Gotcha, yeah I don't really recall that but I could definitely see it between people you know etc., like I was typically playing against random people. I saw some crazy cheap stuff, on a side note the coolest thing I saw was a game breaking bug I witnessed at the arcade called Guile's handcuff throw/move, it broke the game but was neat at the time at least to see once... around the 5 min mark: I would always hear about it from friends but finally got to see it first hand. I honestly thought they were full of it till I witnessed it. Hahah, sorry for the sidetrack or if you've already seen this, just was neat to think about a glitch on an arcade game that was so popular.
