Tonight he did make the team worse. I don’t think you’ll find any reasonable person claim that we would be better over a 82 game season without James Harden.

 

I think you mean inefficient on defense though, but sadly I agree with the rest.

 

Tucker has been run too many minutes

if Harden is smart he needs to recognize when he is gassed, lethargic and defer to cp3 or simply keep sitting on the bench instead of coming into game low energy and tanking leads with back to back to back turnovers

 

Gordon made some good layups tonight too.

 

Even with the good win, the same ole issues are still there. Too many 2nd chance points given up (Chris Paul is our leading rebounder this game? Harden and Gordon with just 1 rebound each?), too many easy baskets given up, poor coaching by MDA to let the starters almost choke the game away.

I don't even feel great about this game. We won because of an inexplicable bench performance, and for a team with the league's worst bench, don't expect tonight to become a trend. I'm actually more embarrassed for Portland that they lost this game. You let your bench get shredded by Houston's?

Harden came in and the wheels fell off because he couldn't play simple ball. That was his fault. I don't give a good gawd damn how many points he scored before that point.. He has to finish. He's the guy THE ONLY GUY.

 

I know what happend on offense, but what we did defensively was kind of a blur, anyone wanna explain was it just Portland playing badly or did we do something.

 

I’d be happy if EGO just drove to the basket the rest of the season

 

What you get from Harden:

Very skillful offensive player

Volume shotter that can give you points and an expert to draw fouls

Will make some sports center top 10 passes

And then,

Everything you try to teach your kids NOT TO BE.

 

Gordon’s situation has been really sad. If you split him up every 5 games he’s played:
1-5: 33 / 23
6-10: 32 / 24
11-15: 37 / 32
16-20: 44 / 43
21-23: 42 / 18

 

you just watched the game, man...

Harden finished at -14 (and dropped in fg% down the stretch)
and CP3 went 2-12 but got pulled into a positive +/- by our 'scrubby bench players' lol

House +24 4-8
Green +18 5-6
Ennis +15 1-1
Nene +15 5-7
CP3 +9
...everybody else was negative...
Make no mistake, the BENCH WON THIS GAME!

 

Effort, intensisty, we got Nene going and they finally stopped switching every time with Capela but he still sucked tonight

Ugh, as much as I dislike what's being said, I agree for the most part . But I think Dantoni wise, knowing how bad your bench has been you have to go to your proven starters to end the game.

 

Yep, nothing wrong in what you're saying here, it's just that i still can't convince myself that we're really so much worse than last season, i just can't...

 

^this... just because u acknowledge a players flaws doesn’t mean u hate him. It also doesn’t mean overall u think the team is better without him. I don’t know why this is so hard for people to understand, like damn stop being so offended and dramatic
