Maybe they gotten lucky in some of these games but during this win streak there is no game where you can say the opponent clearly out played the Texans and the Texans deserved to lose. In fact the Texans have statistically been the better team in each game during the streak. The only game this season that “shoulda, woulda, coulda” gone the other way was the titans game.
people want that madden offense and it's just not going to happen. The O-line, the collapsed lung which watson will probablly need an entire offseason to heal thus limiting the pass attempts so that 28th ranked o-line won't rear its ugly head more than it already does. Then there is the play calling. we're trying to be so many things at once that we have no real identity. We want to be uggs east, then clemsonesque with the RPOs and then undercenter, which I like. But You need time as a unit to grow into all of that or have andy reid. We'll get there. As trashy as Watson has been against the Bills and Today, but in the fourth he still put it behind him and drove for game winning scores. B.O.B and Kubiak would be a wonderful wet dream fantasy. let bygones be bygones I say.
What gives me solace in Watson's performance is how good he looked the first two drives where he put up 10 points.
Its weird, but it seems like years since you can say our offensive line was good. How many quarterbacks have played here under a lame offensive line? All those early round wasted picks in Jaelen Strong, Braxton Miller, Su'a FIlo and more were flops. So far Johnson has been useless as well. It's like not enough has been done to make it better in years. Sure, we have injuries, but so do most teams. It's so frustrating, but at least we are winning, and our best defensive guys are staying healthy and doing what needs to be done.
We need tryouts for some offensive linemen with all our injuries. Maybe they should send some scouts to the Golden Corrals around Houston to find some big guys who would sign for the minimum.
The offense didn't look good but that was a very good defense they were facing. I don't know if the Texans called plays to get rid of the ball quickly like quick slants but it did seem like the pass plays weren't developing quickly enough and/or the Redskins secondary had everyone covered. If you've been paying attention to Washington's defense, you wouldn't be surprised at the turnovers and the tough safety play.
If Bob O'Brien is an offensive guru, I wonder what Sean Payton, Sean McVay, Andy Reid are. going conservative and giving your opponent the ball at the end of the game might work against Denver or Washington, but good luck with that strategy against Brady/Ben/Rivers/Mahomes/Luck
That is such an unbelievable stat. I would have never in my wildest dreams thought that was even possible.
