    When a Red Delicious is properly ripe it is...well...delicious.

    Too many people eating them early is probably to blame here. They are sh*t before ripe.

    Especially with a nice Camembert and a glass or two of Quarts de Chaume.

    I'm 51 year old, and I've known red delicious apples have sucked for as long as I can remember. Can't believe they've lasted this long.

    Apples and pears are the worst of all the fruits. Just worthless. Apple pie is inferior to all other fruit pie fillings. WTF is a pear for anyway?

    You're wrong because you either 1) have terrible taste or 2) haven't tried Honeycrisp or Asian Pears. I suspect its a mixture of both. stick to the frozen meal isle.

    I have taste, and I've eaten just about everything that walks, crawls, swims, flies or grows on god's green earth, yet I still say that the flavor and texture of apples and pears is terrible.

    You haven't convinced me otherwise yet.
