i don't understand why people are opposed to offering a low contract for him to play something like 3rd string... foreman..coming off a torn achilles and this still decimated o-line.. i'll take all the half in the backfield i can get..
Lol I’m watching rockets pelicans. And when ever u say AD I keep thinking Anthony Davis. Then I scroll up and realize this is football. #BasketballSZN
I think most people don’t like the idea of him taking reps away from foreman who showed promise last year. He also showed last season with the saints to be upset about not getting an equal workload. RB is a young mans job, he isn’t young.
This is Ahman Green 2.0, again, Adrian Peterson is not good anymore. and you see what happened with the Saints, he was mad he wasnt getting the ball, and also didnt let RBs like Kamara getting into rhythm, the texans need to give more reps to Foreman. He is 33, and people forget, he ended the year in IR, after a neck injury, also the Cardinals, besides David Johnson, doesnt have a depth chart, so if he was still good, why not keeping him. Also, signing legends in their last years, is never a good idea, look what happened with Jerry Rice, Ed Reed, Emmitt Smith.etc If you want to sign a veteran RB, to help Foreman and Miller, I would prefer Frank Gore, Alfred Morris or Darren Sproles over Adrian Peterson.
Dwight Howard is good too. The problem is he thinks he is a franchise centerpiece while the league he plays in has changed dramatically since he was a HOF caliber player. Unless you are a tier 1 workhorse, no pass blocking and no pass catching means no job in today's NFL. Unless he's willing to come here for practically free he isn't worth a roster spot.
I would actually like to draft another RB. We might have a chance at Royce Freeman, Nick Chubb or Penny so for that reason I say no.
Free agent Adrian Peterson told ESPN's NFL Live that the Texans are on his radar as a potential landing spot. This doesn't mean the interest is mutual, of course. "Obviously I’ve mentioned Houston a couple of times," Peterson said. "I feel like Green Bay wouldn’t be a bad look as well. Carolina. There’s some options out there. You know Miami. Down there in [Los Angeles]. That would be a nice look, too, with Todd Gurley." Peterson turned 33 in March. He has made no known offseason visits.
St Louis? Dude still looks like he's in good shape, so just bring him in to see what he can do, it would not hurt at all. It seems like he really wants to play here.
His kid goes to school here, I’m sure he’d love to play at home. I would be cool with signing him if no expectations or guarantees.
Foreman coming off an Achilles injury seems iffy to me. Again, I don't know what the loss is for just bringing him in for a workout.
I can't see a reason not to bring him in for a look but I don't think he has anything at all left in the tank.
Actually I’ve met him 3 times but it’s ok. I’ve also gotten whippings that left bruises. Not saying that’s ok but lots of parents have done this. Doesn’t make them an all around bad person.
