Indeed. It's this kind of bulls*** that makes real incidents difficult to deal with. Prosecute her to the fullest extent.

 

Glad they got to the bottom of this. She should face consequences for her false claims, for sure.

 

The penalties for false claims of sexual abuse/ rape should be much more substantial.

Michigan woman, 21, charged for false rape claim at college

Zolkowski was arraigned Monday in Bay County District Court for one count of false report of a felony. If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison and a $2,000 fine.

Four years in prison is pretty substantial. I think we're fine.

 

I don't even like the sound of that. I hate prison for unlikely habitual offenders that pose little danger to society. Let her get some jail time, pay a fine, and then face defamation suit. Most reasonable thing is that they have to compensate the person the defamed.
