LOL @ the excuses. the man shooting under 36% from the field, 21% from 3, with 5.3 turnovers a game not being the reason why okc is going to lose the series. this would be a completely different conversation if the roles were switched with harden.
honestly I would like OKC to win game 5 and then lose game 6, gotta tire out the Jazz a little for us lol
You may be right - and what would that do to the media narrative? Although I'm sure they would find some way to spin it, it would be hilarious to see their mental gymnastics trying to get there (while at the same time showing the world what frauds these bball analysts really are). I do want this series to go on as long as possible, and while it would be totally sweet to see Chucky Westbrick get suspended, I might savor it more to watch him and his angry-face chuck his team to another early playoff exit in a game 6 or 7.
Well, if he is suspended, OKC will likely win the game. But, once westbrick comes back, they will be heading to their couches for the rest of the playoffs!
I called this out last night, I figured the league would at least look at it. I never could figure out if he was officially checked in or not. There is no gray area here, as the article implies, the question is, was Russ allowed to come in or not? I couldn't tell with everything that was going on and if the NBA acts in their best interest, they will go with the premise that he did check in.
Shaq has the mental capacity of a 8 year old. It's frustrating watching him trying to make a point which is almost always wrong.
I used to think like you about Westbrook. But after last season, I lost all respect for him because he has shown himself to be a selfish stat-padder. While I respect hard playing players, I despise players who play for stats more. Westbrook basically is guilty of two things I hate. 1. Being a me-first kind of player. 2. Stat-chasing. I am a statistical purist. I believe stats should be a reflection of how a player contribute to winning. If stats become the goal of a player's achievement, it twisted the very purpose of statistics.
Westbrook is that guy at your gym who is easily the most talented but doesn’t understand what it takes to win the pick up games.
Ringer: One of the worst postseasons of Russell Westbrook’s career has Oklahoma City staring at a 3-1 series deficit to the Utah Jazz. A world of questions awaits should it lose again in the first round.
It's hilarious how every Rockets fan was saying this all last season. It was obvious. Just took the national media a year to get over they're desperate narrative construction to realize it.
Didn't say it was going to happen. I knew long ago it wouldn't. Harden turned down the trade we had lined up for him. I didn't wanted Harden relegated to secondary playmaker. He would have still been primary ball handler for at least 24 minutes or so the same way he is now. And Rubio is proving to you that he can play off the ball just fine. Him and Mitchell are one of the top 5 backcourts in the NBA, here in their first season together. Rubio would have been great here alongside Harden. And we could have already been in their fourth season together with loads of chemistry working and Rubio on a cheap contract and a lot younger than CP3. But you go ahead and keep telling everybody Rubio sucks. K?
