Ugly second half.... Totally left 2 points (and a road win) on the field. Just a terrible job trying to close out United.
Certainly doesn't help the notion that the MLS is a retirement league. I get why LA does it. I don't get why Ibra does it. I'd think he could've made more $ in China or somewhere in the Middle East. There are rumors he might be willing to come out of international retirement to play for Sweden this summer. So, maybe getting minutes with LAG, assuming health and success, gives him a chance to do that...but I think he's done. I just hope this doesn't end up like the short lived Lothar Matthaus appearance where he came over, b****ed and complained, then left after 16 games.
This is getting past retirement league Ang getting into carnival act. “I remember when I saw Zaltan! I saw Becks play!”. This is a zoo of once international greats. I’m only surprised they couldn’t convince Ronaldinho to come
He has plenty of money, he doesn't need the tradeoff of living in China or the Middle East. He can just kick back and chill in LA, still play at a high level (within this league) and give fairly little effort but still have fun. Seems like an easy choice to me. I still almost half expect that to happen one day. I could see some **** team brining in a guy who hasn't played in years
At least Beckham gave full effort, was still playing at a high level, embraced his role as an ambassador for the league, and is investing in the league. I have no problem with his time here. Same with David Villa. If you're going to come here, don't treat it as if it's the Sunday morning men's league at Bear Branch.
Dynamo have acquired jared Watts from Colorado for $100k TAM. Seems like a good move, above average defender for pretty cheap, lets them drop Kevin Garcia from the lineup and slide Machado over to the right.
Big win over the "defending champs" Toronto tanked this game because they have the CONCACAF Champions League Finals against Chivas Guadalajara on Wednesday.
I saw the score pop up on my phone and I thought "WOW"...but then I remembered they played their reserve team and thought, "that's it?"
Loss to a bad Minnesota United team. This team is just the definition of mediocre once again. They might sneak into the playoffs and they might find themselves in the semi-finals again...or they might watch the playoffs on tv. What's clear is that there is no improvement from last season. Management continues to fail by only looking for bargains. I'm going next Saturday to see Ibra. That'll likely be the only game I go to this season.
