Eric Gordon Gerald Green Joe Johnson Trevor Ariza Ryan Anderson That's one hell of a small-ball second unit. Sub out Ryno for Nene if you need some size and muscle, or B-Wright if you need size and spacing. I'd put those against any second unit in the league. Jeebus, we're deep.
There are 18 teams currently over .500, so that sounds worse than it is. There is a period in March where we play 12 games in 20 days, that looks like a stretch where our new depth will be put to the test.
Still #1 on ESPN, CBS, and NBA.com: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/pag...ngs-our-expert-panel-unveils-rankings-week-20 https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...get-better-heading-into-seasons-final-months/ http://www.nba.com/powerrankings/2017-18-week-20#/
#1 on ESPN again: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ngs-our-expert-panel-unveils-rankings-week-21
how can we be number 2 when we keep trashing playoff teams on the road, and cap it of with a big win against celtics.. Next week will be a challenge with OKC and bucks on a tough back to back, then raptors on the road will be our hardest remaining game.
1 loss is 18 games (well, 19 after Mavs) and we promptly fall to #2....lulz...you can't make this up. #2 Rankings by: CBSSports NBA.com SI ESPN kept us at #1.
LOL who the hell cares what the media says about us? At the end of the day, only the players and teams on the court matters.
I'm not really against them dropping this team to #2. Toronto has been playing outstanding basketball and they did just beat us.
They could drop us to 9th in the power rankings for all I care. Doesn’t change or effect anything. These lists are just clickbait material to drive revenue. Standings bruh
It's like NBA.com felt forced to put us at #1 because of the streak. Now that the pressure's off, they can demote us like they wanted to all along.
Number One at ESPN http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ngs-our-expert-panel-unveils-rankings-week-23
and #1 at NBA.com http://www.nba.com/powerrankings/2017-18-week-23 1 Last week: 2 Houston Rockets Record: 56-14 Pace: 99.9 (14) OffRtg: 113.5 (2) DefRtg: 104.4 (9) NetRtg: +9.1 (2) The Rockets' 3-point shooting hasn't been very consistent, but volume matters and Ryan Anderson's return gives them more of that. With Anderson back, they were fully healthy over the weekend (unless you count the absence of Brandan Wright, who has played 15 minutes with his new team), but Mike D'Antoni kept his rotation to just nine guys, DNP'ing Gerald Green in New Orleans on Saturday and Joe Johnson in Minnesota on Sunday. The Rockets have won 22 of their last 23 games, with the only loss coming by three points in Toronto, and Tuesday's game in Portland (where the Blazers have won 18 of their last 19) is the toughest game remaining on their schedule. Week 23: @ POR, vs. DET, vs. NOP, vs. ATL
SI NBA power ranking : No. 1 Blazers https://www.si.com/nba/2018/03/19/n...arriors-cavaliers-damian-lillard-lebron-james CBS NBA power ranking : No.1 - Blazers No.2 - Raptors No.3 - Rox https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...duos-starring-damian-lillard-and-cj-mccollum/ LMAO
I take it SI and CBS are just doing "team of the week" or month rankings? If you are during rankings to predict final season rankings (which I assumed was the main goal of all these reankings), at some point the "hottest team" part of the algorithms gives way to possibility of overtaking someone with only 13 games left. Rockets are 12 freaking games ahead of the Blazers. lulz
I think these guys just get bored and they don't really like the Rockets? There's a lot of folks that legitimately despise the Rockets and it supersedes all rationale. Edit: CBS and SI are going to look really stupid if the Rockets smoke the Blazers tomorrow...which I hope they do.
I hope we rest Harden/Paul/Capela if SAS beats GSW. Let the Blazers have their w and streak. We have nothing more to prove this season.
