He was hitchhiking across Asia and suffered severe exhausted thumb syndrome -- what else could he have done?
There are news regarding some fans yelling "basketball" in a NHL game towards a black player, that is racist. There are also some kids yelling in a high school games "PF Chang" towards an Asian student, that is also racist. And when JJ was clearly said the word "Chink" and was caught on video, you still have doubts? Stop watching Fox News to keep getting your mind f**ked and try to be a normal person.
are you so prideful where you can only say sorry when you are guilty? you can sorry if you accidentally insulted someone and that doesn't mean you were wrong but you're apologizing for the result of what you did accidentally
It's not like he pumped into someone. Him saying sorry means he did make a racist slur which is a serious offense if you're a public figure. And how do accidentally insult someone? btw I'm just putting myself in his shoes. If I was accused of saying something racist and I believed that I didn't then I would never apologize.
lol if it was honest mistake like he did, which he explained it was, he said sorry for accidentally offending the chinese community. He actually apologized online and today in practice already. so yes you can apologize for accidentally saying something
WTF you talking about bruh? Even if you give him the benefit of the doubt that it was accidental and he didn't mean to offend, he still said the word CHINK. He's apologizing for saying the word CHINK. It's like accidentally bumping into someone. Yes you should still apologize. Because you STILL DID IT.
Well it all depends on what you're apologizing for. Are you apologizing for what you said or are you apologizing to the people who were offended
lol you're either trying to be contrarian, a troll, or just ignorant. he had to apologize for saying something which offended a large group of people. so to your answer both, and at least JJ understood that and apologize
This guy, whom in no doubt gives off that elitist, depraved, narcissist vibe, beholds personal and professional experiences of: A 4-year college player at a major programme, featuring a huge Asian student population; A 12-year-plus NBA veteran who's played 5 years in one of the most diverse metropolises in the world containing a massive Asian population Whom in a multitude of fashions has professional etiquette and acceptable behaviours outlined and drilled into him on a constant, if not daily, basis, by his own advisers and the organisation governing his professional body; Who in his own professional body, has recent-past incidents featuring the exact same offence, exploding into national headlines resulting in thunderous public uproar, resulting with a national public apology and termination of the employee involved Who has actively initiated his own media career, propelling himself as an aspiring media personality; Furthermore: If it was indeed an accidental slip of the tongue, then why did he not re-work the 5-second segment In what realm does he exist in, whereby he is not aware of the words that are coming out of his mouth, especially regarding a specially-prepared, once-a-year, festive promotional message that is to be broadcast to over 1.3 billion people In what media and film company do takes not get active, running evaluation, as the shot is progressing and being taken Do camera takes not get reviewed immediately after they are filmed Do camera takes not get reviewed amidst post-production procedures Do media publishers never comb through the very things they depend their existence on Moreover, in the aftermaths of the incident exploding: He begins to deny the very existence of the issue, proceeding to shirk all responsibility by fabricating excuses, while downplaying the what has then become a massively notorious issue Upon further condemnation, begrudgingly re-addresses the issue with total and absolute apathy and indifference, yet attempts to go to great length to minimise the gravity of the situation and distance himself from any wrongdoing Further inaction for many days, until a passive direct acknowledgement of his inappropriate conduct upon further questioning by reporters Just the sheer insincerity, the absolute aloofness regarding such tragic insolence, is quite damning and goes further to prove what a wicked, vile and despicable being this trash is. Has Trump, whom has been relentlessly scrutinised and criticised, even committed a similar offense. NO EVEN HE HASN'T.
Certain words just cannot be said, let alone when you were making a video to extend good wishes to the people that word will for sure offend. Intention or not has nothing to do with it. There are plenty of situations where we have to be responsible for what we did, with or with intention. This situation is so not going to happen with a normal person in this country, let alone he went to Duke. Not sure what happened there. But an apology is the least he could do to remedy the situation.
I recommend some of you read this article. This was before this incident. Take a read and ask yourself ... https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/13/opinion/sunday/heartbeat-of-racism-denial.html
