https://stats.nba.com/players/hustl...8&SeasonType=Regular Season&TeamID=1610612745 So apparently Randerson leads the team in box-outs per game, keep hustlin big fella
Also wonder of lack of post touches has messed with Rando's groove. Was surprised to see Ryno was a top 13 post-scorer for Nola in the 15-16 season, and a pretty good one (1.01 PPP). As you'd guess, the post scoring virtually disappeared in Houston. https://stats.nba.com/players/hustl...8&SeasonType=Regular Season&TeamID=1610612745
Quality over quantity! Clutchfans would say DMo's Box-outs were of the premium variety. but seriously, I've noticed this. Ryno tries to get in where he can fit in. He may be deficient in a lot of areas, but he tries to do as much as he can to help where he can.
But the thing is the lack of post scoring is still on him though, the Rox are ok with post shots they only hate mid range shots. His stint in NOLA was definitely the high point in Anderson's career and the reason Morey targetted him for a long time and also offered him that big deal.
POST ALL STAR BREAK RYNO!!!! 0 PTS!!! 0 Rebounds! 0-0 from the Free Throw Line 0-0 from 3 0 minutes!!! IT's a NEW SEASON RYNO!!!!! Time to Shine!!! Rocket River
The quandary is to play him and let him work through his own self induced issues or bench him and let him work through his problems at his own pace with no one expecting anything from him. The TEAM will be fine either way. The trade deadline has come and gone. It my be time for a “ high ankle sprain”. He collects himself and returns as the player he is truly capable of.
He's the best fit stretch 4 for the Rockets System in the entire basketball world and it's not even close....
You are right it isn’t close when he is playing up to his potential. His head is off => how does the team respond => we have the depth to give him time to collect himself. His play is a must to succeed in the playoffs. OR does he just play through and hope in time his game will return. Random thought are team’s game planning to keep him down b/c he is so key to team success?
No more worries Ryno. You will be safe from being traded for another 6 months. Let it fly. It's all up in the head.
Nah, that's a lost cause. All he needs to do some pretending defense with his hands up high like he is really defending. On the other end, he needs to let it stretch 5 feet beyond 3 pt line.
Rockets have no bad rebounding lineups of the ones that get used regularly. Paul, Anderson, Tucker, and Luc are premium box-out guys for sure. Anderson is pretty good in the paint. That post-up stat doesn't surprise me. There are guys who play bigger, smaller and in between what their size is(Tristan Thompson plays small, Draymond Green plays bigger than he is). Anderson plays like a 6'10" 240 guy in the paint. He gets shots on the glass pretty easily and he's adept at those tips ins. Punished GS on the offensive boards in both wins.
7 PTS!!! 6 Rebounds! 1-2 from the Free Throw Line 2-6 from 3 1 Assist! 19 minutes!!! THE NEW RYNO! Don't mess with the positivity!!!! Rocket River
