Terrence Williams, Kevin McDaniels Jr., Troy Williams... I wonder what scrub fans will attach onto next. Come on Rick! You gotta play Terrence! Free the Squid! Come on! Play K.J.! What are you doing?! Dumbass coach! Play Troy! Are we sleeping on Troy Williams?!
Convington nobody could’ve foreseen, but Shaun clearly outplayed our other PGs that pre-season and still couldn’t stay.
That's only right, considering how the careers of T-Will v1 and K-Pop took over after we dumped them.
I don't know about that. Williams was better than McDaniels because he had a better feel for the game. Williams is athletic and has a decent 3pt shot. But the reason he didn't get on the floor was he wasn't a good enough defender. That is something Convington excels in.
Besides, Murray picked up the better version of Troy in mid-season when he nabbed Gerald Greenlight. That move made Troy expendable.
that was our boy troy. he landed good but he could not control after landing(there was still 1 snake left on the plane)..lol
Troy, seems to have a low bb IQ. He never seems to get it together. Even in the G League he never has been consistent. Can jump and is a streaky 3 point shooter. Unlikely to ever be as good as Gerald Green is. Ideally we could use another point guard. Our bigs all have greater value at least in trades.
The only big who has genuine trade value is Capela. Good luck to Troy, but not too much, for the rest of this season against our Rockets.
You are absolutely right. Williams is going to bounce around until he makes a commitment to being a better defender, individually and with team concepts. It wouldn't hurt if he lost that chip on his shoulder too. You don't see Luc A Moute make a shot or a dunk and then prance about and posture. . . I hope it works out for Troy because he deserves to a be a rotation player. But he'll make some coaches happier if there's a little less drama and more D.
Good luck to Troy. I wanted him to get more playing time but it didn't happen for whatever reason. He should get an opportunity elsewhere. We're a championship caliber team and Black is more important for us in that regard than Troy would be. We need emergency big men, not emergency wings. Black is underrated-he played well for us the year that Dwight got injured. Sure he's third string but he could be a backup C. I'm not sure why we didn't cut Onuaku. Maybe we want to continue to develop him. I still have some hope for him (NOT a popular opinion on CF). He's only 21 years old and had great metrics coming out of college. He's young! But maybe we cut him next if another player we like gets bought out.
How many players make it to the playoff roster? 12 or 13? Edit: Is it still 13 with one inactive player before the start of a playoff game?
Too bad. I remember him single handedly winning that game in Phoenix last year. Would def have rather cut Black.
