I don't get the circle jerk of likes. Maybe when we had status rankings , because Hakeem Status was sacred, it meant you were the best of everything. But since we don't have status names, there's no mountain to climb.
Having multiple accounts or multiple personas is just so weird to me. liking your own posts and commenting on your own posts with other accounts that u created...doing stuff like that would never even cross my mind
Used to think he was a funny dude. After reading he posted under multiple accounts he just seems like a big weirdo.
I remember when rep meant something -- you had to spread it around before you could just start willy nilly repping every post. Hell, sometimes I would wait weeks to rep someone's excellent post -- dialing up on my baud modem that only connected up hill. These kids today with 178,000 rep points will never understand what this meant.
I wanted to be like Moes. Hakeem. Finally I made it, thought it was really cool for a couple of months, then I realized I was just like everybody else, and poof, now it's gone.
This man (↓) has reached Hakeem's level probably in the shortest time. He's done so in an honorable manner, not by begging for or being obsessed with attention (often soliciting reps/likes), but by contributing his talent, time and distinguished humor to animate this board without saying many words. agreed, i miss all of my old rep. the new system is kind of like instagram. everyone can be a star. it's nice to be more inclusive now though. we are a more welcoming community now and we strive to be less divisive.
